Victoria and Albert Museum Dianthus Coir Doormat
The beautiful carnation surrounded by leaves featured on this mat is inspired by an Arts and Crafts wallpaper held in the V&A’s archives. Compton was designed in 1895–6 for Compton Hall in Wolverhampton, England, the home of Laurence Hodson, and it was probably the result of a joint effort between William Morris (1834–96) and his assistant J.H. Dearle (1859–1932). All doormats in Entryways’ V&A Collection are available in two sizes. Every Entryways mat is designed and crafted to be stylish and functional.
- 100% natural coir with backing
- Hand-painted with eco-friendly dyes; multiple stencils are used to recreate stunning artwork
- Coir - derived from the husks of coconuts - is a natural and biodegradable fiber, an excellent dirt-trapper, and is known for its scraping abilities
- Recommended for use in a sheltered outdoor area that is not exposed to direct sunlight to preserve the longevity of the colours
- Shake or vacuum clean
- The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates slight variations in colour and size; colour discrepancies may occur between this product and your screen
